We had an absolutely fantastic experience staying at this charming guesthouse in Grímsey. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The owners were the friendliest people I have ever met during my travels. Parking was right outside the room, so having heavy luggage was no problem. The bed was stiff and super comfortable, exactly how I like it.

Absolutely fantastic hotel with superb staff in a very picturesque town, a must visit for any traveller. We can't rate the Husavik Cape Hotel highly enough.

Situated in the heart of Husavik town centre, Fosshotel Husavik offers free parking and guest rooms with satellite TV. The whale watching boats depart from Husavik Harbour, 1 km away. Accessible room was perfect, walk in shower. incredibly peaceful, perfect location for harbour, whale watching, Northern Lights etc etc. Perfect. Long drive from Keflavik, but worth it. 30 minutes from Godafoss Waterfall. Amazing.

In Midfjordur, midway between Reykjavik and Akureyri, is Hótel Laugarbakki. Stay close to one of Iceland’s best salmon rivers and the natural hot springs, which heat up the entire community. Lovely surprise to find such quality of room and service in a middle of the Highlands. Large room for a triple share and dinner was good. Reception lady Greta such a wonderful staff.
