Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. Staff were friendly, check in and check out process was extremely smooth, they had good breakfast options and they had an in house parking for the guest without any additional cost.

Some of Geirland’s cosy rooms are set in individual cottages in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. Spacious room, very clean and comfortable. Great location although we didn't manage to visit the gean valley nearby. Good breakfast. Welcoming stuff. It included everything we needed. Very recommended.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. We were upgraded to the Hotel Geysir next door which was fabulous. Beautiful breakfast.
