Great breakfast. Great room. I hope they do well.

So easy to check in, comfortable room, hot tubs were wonderful, quiet location and good breakfast!

The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Lovely hotel. The location is amazing, close to everything. Breakfast had good quality ingredients. Room was clean and toilet had L’Occitane amenities. Highly recommend it!

Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

All rooms have a modern interior design and are fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, communal area, LCD, Satellite TV, hairdryer, clothing rack, extra pillows, phone, soap, and a kettle with tea and coffee. The rooms are fitted with a desk and a private bathroom. A very modern hotel with easy access and lots of parking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a mountain view room which is at the back of the hotel, spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed. The food, both in the evening and at breakfast was of a high standard with a very wide choice of breakfast foods. Highly recommend. Upstairs has a seating area and a games room which could be useful if you were travelling as a group.

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. It offers free use of an outdoor wooden hot tub and arranges Icelandic horse riding tours on site. I have booked Eldhestar for the second year in a row now and like lat year, everything was perfect. Maybe even better. The staff was really helpful, they also printed the boarding passes for my return flight. I also booked a dinner with them and the food was really good. It is a perfect place if you are seeking for Aurora. It is best to drive 30 minutes away in more remote area if you are willing to have more professional photos. There are some lights in a northern part of the hotel, but nothing too bright. Every cell phone captured the northern lights. The rooms are quite spacious. If my wallet will allow me, I will be returning again this year.

Adventure Hotel Geirland is 3 km off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge.

Some of Geirland’s cosy rooms are set in individual cottages in the garden. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building. Great location in nature. Room with a good size and in perfect condition. Had sheep as neighbours. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Country Hotel Hali has rooms with a private bathroom and a work desk. The cottage is well kept . Everything youll need in the kitchen . Free coffee and tea . It was like a tinyhouse complete with all the amenities. We loved it.

The erupting Great Geysir is a 10 minute-drive away. Thingvellir National Park is 35 minutes from Gullfoss Hotel. The Kjölur highland road is 2 km away and connects northern and southern Iceland. Reykjavik city centre is 90 minutes away. Lovely greeting, they asked if we would like to be notified if the Northern Lights were visible that night. nice touch. The restaurant was fantastic! Along with the service. Room was lovely, comfortable, good size, everything you would need. The staff were all lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Litli Geysir Hotel is on Route 35, located only 200 metres from the world famous Geysir hot spring in Iceland’s Haukadalur Valley. It offers an in-house restaurant as well as free access to WiFi and free parking.

The Gullfoss Waterfall is a 10-minute drive from the hotel. Reykjavík city centre is a 1.5-hour drive away. Upgraded to the main Geysir hotel. One of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. Modern luxurious facilities. Provided a wake up service call for the northern lights. Excellent location on the golden circle close to the geysirs. Wide variety of breakfast options. Can’t fault this property and can’t wait to stay again in the future!
