Opened in July 2018, Hótel Kría is situated in Vík. Among the various facilities are a garden and a bar. There is a restaurant. The black sand beaches begin about 5 minutes' walk from the hotel. A very modern hotel with easy access and lots of parking. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We booked a mountain view room which is at the back of the hotel, spacious, clean and a very comfortable bed. The food, both in the evening and at breakfast was of a high standard with a very wide choice of breakfast foods. Highly recommend. Upstairs has a seating area and a games room which could be useful if you were travelling as a group.

This eco-friendly hotel, 30 minutes’ drive from Reykjavik, is surrounded by nature in the town of Ölfus. Nice nostalgic clean hotel. Very good for the price. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was quite good. Even if you dont want to ride a horse, you can actually pet them.

Adventure Hotel Geirland is 3 km off the Route 1 Ring Road and 3 minutes’ drive from Kirkjubæjarklaustur village. All rooms offer tea/coffee facilities and views of the surrounding mountain ridge. Great location in nature. Room with a good size and in perfect condition. Had sheep as neighbours. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Everything youll need in the kitchen . Free coffee and tea . It was like a tinyhouse complete with all the amenities. We loved it.

Lovely greeting, they asked if we would like to be notified if the Northern Lights were visible that night. nice touch. The restaurant was fantastic! Along with the service. Room was lovely, comfortable, good size, everything you would need. The staff were all lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Litli Geysir Hotel is on Route 35, located only 200 metres from the world famous Geysir hot spring in Iceland’s Haukadalur Valley. Very nice hotel in a good location. Clean, quiet. Restaurant 5 min walk. Gullfoss 10 min drive. Absolutely perfect.
