In Pietra Hotel is set in the pedestrian area of Matera, 200 metres from the city centre. Private parking is available 300 metres away. One of the most unique and amazing experiences one could have! Anyone must stay at least for a night in a cave room and that room is probably one of the best. The room was clean, with an amazing bed, great atmosphere and hot tub and sauna were adding a lot to the whole experience. The staff was also very helpful! Reason to visit Matera again in the future.

Amazing!!!! less than 10 minutes walk from the very center of Matera (and what a city!!!!! ) in a quite área, the facilities are just amazing. I do not know who were the architect but turning the place in a comfortable, amazingly beautiful place is something. Pietro, our host, was not only a host. When the hostess realised we had to leave crazy early she gave us a little bag of breakfast biscuits to take which was so generous.

The AC was cold and the WiFi fast. We were able to park our car in a lot in front of the hotel or in the underground garage. Best of all, the staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend!

It was our first visit to Rionero and we very much appreciated how welcoming and accommodating Miguel was. The entire staff were pleasant and catered to our every need. The room was clean and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was comfortable and temperature was comfortable too. Our first night in town, my wife and I had an excellent dinner at La Pergola. Our waiter, Nicola was very attentive and made great suggestions on our menu choices. Two nights later we went for pizza with a local Rionero family and we all raved over the food. Service was outstanding and we were happy the restaurant could accommodate a party of 10 on a Saturday evening with short notice. Each morning we were welcomed with a cappuccino and pastries that were fresh and tasty. We will stay again at La Pergola when we return.
