Owner lady was very nice and pleasant. Employees were very kind. Room was clean and well maintained, with beautiful lake view. Breakfast was very tasty. I loved it. Location is good, right in front of the ferry terminal, and only 5 to 6 minutes walk from the Varenna-Esino train station. I will definitely come back to this hotel.

JUST EXCELLENT. Exceeded my expectations by far. The price for a single room here was not expensive at all for the area of Como. All the staff were super nice and friendly and helpful. Really appreciated the super convenient free parking just right next to the hotel. I didn’t need to drag my luggage very far. Liked that you could just cross the road for a stroll near the lake in the evening. Very close to the Madonna della Lacrime Shrine, which is my reason for visiting Dongo. I also left something in the room, only realising after I left, which the lady at the front desk helped me find right away - I super appreciated that especially since I called in the middle of the night. It was easy to call through the hotline and communicate. Stayed in another more expensive hotel in Dongo in 2017 before but will definitely choose this one instead again. Thank you so much! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Excellent hotel up in the hills of Varenna, very peaceful and I can imagine it's an Ideal location in the busy months away from the main town. Rita was the perfect hostess, very pleasant and helpful, breakfast was fantastic and the room was perfect and a great size, would highly recommend. My friend and I only stayed one night so feel that we couldn't appreciate it as much as we would have liked! It's a steep climb up cobbles to the top but we enjoy a challenge! Just be careful as very slippery in the wet! Rita kindly offered for us to be picked up from the station or you can get a taxi 😊 Also a short walk up to the castle which is well worth a visit for the history and stunning views
