The room was very nice, staff very helpful, breakfast was fantastic, and we were especially thankful that the hotel explained (in advance, by email) how to drive the the hotel, and then provided valet parking so our time negotiating tiny streets was kept to a minimum.

Hotel Il Palazzo is set in the left wing of Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, a 16th-Century building halfway between Assisi's Basilica of Saint Francis and Piazza del Comune square. Stayed 3 nights, liked everything! + Convenient location + Comfortable room with a double bed, good shower, quiet, clean, wifi works well. + Friendly staff + Good breakfast in a very atmospheric room. + Value for money. We greatly recommend this hotel to all who travel to Umbria and want to discover this part of Italy. Just below Assisi it makes this hotel an excelent choice for all who want to see the origins of St.Francis. Also, when we decided to take a one day trip to Rome by train, hotel staff prepared us the food for the trip. We have never felt more at home as we did in this hotel. Definately will come back!

Offering outstanding views of the valley and featuring a garden, Hotel Ideale is located in Assisi, 100 metres from the San Rufino Cathedral. Everything! It was an amazingly beautiful and relaxing stay. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It was easy to walk everywhere we needed to go too.
