I felt comfortable and safe as a solo traveler and absolutely LOVED the location. There was a parking lot close by in which I used to store my rental car while I stayed here. I would highly recommend considering a stay here if cleanliness, safety, and comfort is what matters most to you.

Hotel Il Palazzo is set in the left wing of Palazzo Bartocci Fontana, a 16th-Century building halfway between Assisi's Basilica of Saint Francis and Piazza del Comune square. This is my favourite hotel in Assisi. Great location close to the Basilica, beautiful and very clean rooms, friendly staff that will take care of any necessity. Good breakfast and room service. Highly recommended!!

Offering outstanding views of the valley and featuring a garden, Hotel Ideale is located in Assisi, 100 metres from the San Rufino Cathedral. Very helpful staff. I did mistake with my booking. But they have found solution to resolve the problem.
