The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk as well as free WiFi. Beautiful ski lodge, the wood workshop made it even more charming. The room was clean and comfortable and simple but very cozy. They had everything you need and on top of that an onsen style bath. The host was very kind and generous and I left with a big smile! I wished I could stay longer!

Featuring free WiFi and a restaurant, Okawaso offers accommodation in Aizuwakamatsu, 13 km from Aizu Higashiyama Onsen.

Each room at this ryokan is air conditioned and comes with a TV. The rooms include a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find slippers and a hairdryer. We had an incredible stay here: the ryokan is impressive (especially the arrival with the person playing the shamisen), very beautiful, the food excellent and adaptable (we took vegetarian meals), the establishment is child-friendly (e.g. yukata at their sizes, arrival kits, high chairs and adapted cutlery), the room is magnificent and very suitable for a family. A bookable shuttle service is in place and works very well, allowing us to leave and arrive from Aizu Wakamatsu station. We also reserved the outdoor bath for private use: incredible! The staff is adorable and helpful: thank you very much!

I never went a day without being completely full, my breakfast and dinner were absolutely wonderful! The bath area was calming and spotless clean! Cannot recommend this place enough!

Situated within 3.3 km of Soma Tambo Art and 4.1 km of Hyakushaku Kanon, Soma Guesthouse mawari features rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Soma. A hot tub is available for guests. The guest house has family rooms.

The area is popular for cycling, and free use of bicycles is available at this 3-star guest house. Hosts were generous, kind, thoughtful, funny and made me feel right at home. The kitchen had everything one needs to cook a small meal or heat up a bento. There is also a fridge and freezer. There is a lounge right by kitchen with a Japanese heating table, kotatsu, so one can socialize easily and we had meals together a couple times, which gave it a very homey and cozy atmosphere. Couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts. Thank you Koda-san!

Located in Kitashiobara, 25 km from Mount Bandai, Lakeside Hotels Kuore provides accommodation with free bikes, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. This 3-star hotel offers ski-to-door access, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 35 km from Kitakata Station. I sought something special for a nice trip to the Inawashiro area, and this (a bit remote) place was a most welcome stay just for that little something. Having a sauna and avanto in the cold of January is a must try! The meals they prepared and everything was perfect. The staff is friendly and nice and eager to have a pleasant conversation any time. As we were traveling without a car, we took a taxi to it but the next day we were offered a ride back to the station. Overall we couldn't be happier about our stay.

After my positive first experience with an APA Hotel in Takasaki, I was glad to find that the level of quality and convenience was consistent here too. The room was clean, the public onsen was nice, the staff were friendly, and the location couldn't be more convenient.

Ideally located just a 1-minute walk from JR Fukushima Station, this hotel features a 24-hour front desk and free property-wide Wi-Fi. It also offers a breakfast with various Japanese and local dishes. Get out of the station turn right! Amazing hotel staff. Well equipped place. 10/10! I took some free bath salt this hotel provided to bath and found a little restaurant nearby on the other side of the station for goyza. Fukushima is known for their ramen, goyza, and red miso katsu. For those who complain about food, it’s Japan, food is every 50 metres and better than anything I’ve had in over 20 countries. The room is small because it’s Japan but I find this hotel spacious because I got a bigger bed. Not only the gentleman at the front desk spoke English, he printed a local map and train station map for me. I have been all over Europe, United States, and Australia and for 3times the amount of price I paid over this hotel, I have gotten way worse service and amenities. This is in Fukushima and they still provided the best they could. For all the visitors that expects Japan to cater to your language pander to your needs from another country…..try that elsewhere. Anyway, the station has a pretty cute local bakery across from McDonald’s. A large pharmacy and an entire S-pal market to go through for snacks and food. Not that I don’t already know this, the entire nation is so full of varieties of foods, beverages, and washroom, you can never go hungry, thirsty or restriction to relieve yourself literally every half km. Take this station bus from the other side using underground passage via elevator to a bus area. take number 10 bus to Aizu wakamatsu the samurai town. Or take the train to Yamagata for yamadera and Zao onsen. Or take the train to Sendai and do all the day trips there. Everything is easy and convenient.
