Fairfield by Marriott Gifu Takayama Shirakawa Go nằm ở Takayama, cách Bảo tàng Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village 38 km và Ga Takayama 39 km. The location seems a bit strange at first, but in the morning you can see all the beautiful rice paddies outside! Absolutely stunning and breathtaking. The room itself was spacious enough for two, with good bed and big TV. Staff was attentive, you could buy snacks in the lobby since there are no combinis nearby. We only stayed one night but it seemed like a really nice hotel, even though it’s in the middle of nowhere - but since we were coming by car, it was not a problem.

This hotel exceeded our expectations! Everything was 10/10, from location, beautiful design of the hotel, kindness of the staff, cleanliness, everything!

Well beyond expectations on almost every level: kindness, hospitality, food... First of all, the host is really responsive both via the Booking message system and Whatsapp, which is a plus: even before getting to Japan we already chatted to arrange a pick up from the station to the hotel. So, if you are worried about the distance from the city center, forget your worries. Second: the host's kindness and hospitality were even beyond the (already high) japanese standards and he also spent some time with us suggesting things to do and places to visit. Also, every other person working there was super-kind and sweet, we really felt welcomed. Third: the food. The owner is a really skilled cook, offering an outstanding kaiseki-style dinner and breakfast, with both regional and national delicious dishes. One of the things that drove our choice to Nagataki were some previous reviews about the food, and we can confirm it was even beyond our expectations, with special attention to both the taste and the composition. Last, the Nagataki charm. Here each host has its own traditional Japanese house, which is just an amazing way to experience a slice of traditional Japanese life. Also, the hotel has got a small onsen that - being few people in the structure for the night we spent there - was split in two private onsen. So, to sum up, we cannot recommend Nagataki enough: if you are undecided, give it a try and you won't regret it.

I love everything about our stay in Yunohirakan. The hot bath was wonderful. We loved the outdoor baths looking out the little forest covered in snow. Room was large and comfy. The dinner was amazing. Hida beef was delicious. The breakfast was also tasty. The service was also great. They were very welcoming and kind to us. It feels more personal and private here than other bigger ryokans. Such a lovely memorable experience for us in Japan.

Located in 15-minute bus ride from JR Takayama Station, Guest House & Cafe SOY is surrounded by lush greenery. Free WIFi is provided and free private parking is available on site. Our stay at Soy was amazing! Tai and his parents made us immediately feel at home. They are so nice and warm. The house is realy impressive. It is built in the old Ryokan style and renovated by the family itself which gives your stay an authentic feeling! Thank you so much for everything! Many greetings to Tara from us :)

Reopened after renovation in 2022, Auberge Hidanomori is situated in quiet hills, a 10-minute shuttle ride from JR Takayama Station. staff was extremely pleasant. the place is amazingly decorated. They made special and great breakfast for my spouse who's gluten free.

A 3-minute drive from JR Gero Train Station, Izumi-so offers Japanese-style rooms, an indoor and an open-air natural hot spring bath and Japanese cuisine. My husband and I had an incredible experience at Izumi-So. Facilities were clean, owners were welcoming and incredibly friendly and hospitable. Highly recommend !
