Location just next to Gora Station which is excellent and easy. Clean and comfortable- we stayed in dorm for one night and it still was very convenient, quiet and we could use an onsen.

All in all probably the best place we were in while traveling in Japan. You get yukata to walk around, very peaceful environment in the middle of the mountains, super friendly staff, room was spacious and clean. We had breakfast + dinner combo, which was typical Kaiseki with many different things. Just be prepared - it's A LOT of food (both). We skipped lunch while we stayed there. We tried one of the private onsen which was one of the best we tried. Room had a toilet but no bathroom, so you shower in the public onsen (typical of Ryokan w/ onsen for the unware). There's a Lawson super close, which is handy.

The location was perfect for me - probably more on the entertainment side of the city rather than the business side, although access to transport was very quick and easy so nowhere was out of reach. Close to Chinatown, and a nice walk along the waterfront to other parts of the city. The hotel itself was modern and exceeded my expectations. I really enjoyed my stay here. The breakfast was good quality, and varied.

The facilities were very clean and well maintained with lots of common areas to relax, the staff were very kind and accommodating, the hot spring bath was wonderful and relaxing, and the room was spacious with a breathtaking view of the mountains.

The food was really amazing and very touched for the details. Even though they dont operate any shuttle bus, the owner or any employee brought us to Bus stop, and I have also lost my ring and I gave it up, but he found and came back to our bus stop. That was the most impressive hospitality I've ever had.

The dinner was a delightful multi-course meal, rich in flavors and attention to detail, and the unique breakfast added to the overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy traditional Japanese hospitality in a serene and beautiful setting.
