Boasting rare nigori-yu milky water hot spring baths and , Mount View Hakone offers Japanese-style rooms and Japanese delicacies. All in all probably the best place we were in while traveling in Japan. You get yukata to walk around, very peaceful environment in the middle of the mountains, super friendly staff, room was spacious and clean. We had breakfast + dinner combo, which was typical Kaiseki with many different things. Just be prepared - it's A LOT of food (both). We skipped lunch while we stayed there. We tried one of the private onsen which was one of the best we tried. Room had a toilet but no bathroom, so you shower in the public onsen (typical of Ryokan w/ onsen for the unware). There's a Lawson super close, which is handy.

The hotel is only three minutes from the sea. I loved it.

Featuring a garden, Hakone Onsen Yuyado Yamanoshou is set in Hakone, 200 metres from Hakone Botanical Garden of Wetlands. This 3-star ryokan features free WiFi. The food was exquisite! The room was beautifully traditional with the futon and even has a kotatsu! I was lucky enough to try dinner and breakfast, which were both delicious. All the foods prepared with excellent quality ingredients, you could notice the freshness and that taste of homemade food that is delicious.

Located in the Sengokubara Onsen district of Hakone, Hakone Hoshi no Akari is 3.2 km from Hakone Lalique Museum. We booked a suite with a private onsen. This was on a balcony with a mountain view. This meant all family members of both sexes could use the onsen at once (in swimsuits!) The dinners and breakfasts were exceptional, in quality, variety and quantity of food. There was a 600m downhill walk from the bus stop but the hotel provided transport each morning back to the bus stop. The location was good - short distance only from Lake Ashi One of the staff members took great pains to explain everything in English when we arrived.

The entire hotel had an incredibly natural and calming atmosphere, which could be felt from the moment we arrived. The outdoor bath attached to our room provided a fantastic experience, and the private onsens in the garden were beautiful and offered perfect relaxation. Both the traditional dinner and breakfast were outstanding in flavor and presentation. A kind lady introduced the dishes with great care, making the meal even more special. As a foreigner, I especially appreciated being able to ask questions freely, and she kindly helped me understand the local customs. It was a truly special experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic and peaceful environment.
