If you want to go to the Arashiyama area, Nara, Kansai airport, or Tokyo, it is a 10-15 minute walk from the central Kyoto station. If you want to walk to the city center, it takes about half an hour. You can also get there by bus using the many bus lines. There is an area in the lobby where you can drink tea and coffee and eat. There is a 7-Eleven right across from the hotel. The rooms are considered spacious by Japanese standards.

It's very well worth the money. Close to a supermarket, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, and near to a bus stop as well. Facilities itself is plenty despite being a 2 star hotel. There's a coffee machine at the lounge, washing machine and lounge area to have your food. The room itself is quite big with a small area with a sofa to relax on.

All staff, owners, were warm, friendly, and took the initiative to offer help and suggestions. They really made both our stay and onward journey a lot smoother and more pleasant. The washer and bathroom dryer provided were amazing - it really helped us to stretch our clothes (and being able to wear clean clothes everyday was an amazing feeling haha).

The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Very clean, friendly and welcoming staff were a highlight of Nara for us. Some travellers to chat with in the well furnished kitchen and common room downstairs. Right next to Nara train station. Nice walk to Nara park from the property past many restaurants and stores. Glad I stayed in here in Nara rather than doing a day trip.
