The public onsen was also good. Dinner in a private room for our party was delicious. The town is very convenient to the mountains and the rest of the Unzen part of the national park.

The room was really clean and the inside of the whole hotel looks new. It had a small fridge (I think it's more suited for drinks rather than food) and a microwave too, despite it not being a large room. Although relatively small, it didn't feel cramped at all. There is a public bath. I didn't go but if I come here again I want to try it! If you pull the window blind down it lets no light in, so you can sleep soundly even after sunrise. Remotely controlled air conditioner so you can set your preferred temperature yourself.
