He went out of his way to generously help us every step of the way. Even drove us to the train station on his actual birthday! Can’t wait to be back!

I was greeted warmly and given special attention to help me with my following day's plans to walk the Yamanobe Road. The Ryokan itself is perfectly situated close to Omiwa Shrine and the start of the journey. My tatami floor room had two parts, so it was not only spacious but beautifully and traditionally arranged with tremendous grace. The garden was right outside my room, immaculate and beautiful. I was treated to an excellent private hot spa bath in the evening, making it just the perfect stay.
