Amazing place - lovely and very comfortable, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. They speak decent English, but also have good systems set up with WhatsApp and Google Translate and nothing is too much trouble. The onsen are beautiful and the food in the restaurant is just delicious.

Room: highly recommend to try their superior twin room which I honestly think is way much better than any room at the Prince Hotel - bigger size, comfy bathroom, and Netflix available on TV guys!!! Convenience: Mitsumata ropeway and the local bus stop are both right across the road - saving loads of time when riding the gondola / commuting back to Yuzawa station or to Naeba if you want to go for a 1-day trip Hospitality: delicious breakfast and dinner menu that varied every day during my stay. Coffee and sake also available at the counter, with a huge manga collection to choose from. Takuma San was also very very kind and considerate to drove me back and forth from hospitals/ train stations/ post offices, for which I really can’t thank him enough! The property is also located next to the ski hill, great to get the first tracks on a powder day. The property has its own daily "Onsen" (Japanese Hot Spring / Bathing). The Onsen turned into a daily ritual to sooth the aches and pains from snowboarding. Food: The onsite chief offers the opportunity have an authentic and fresh meal each night. I had some of the best meals during my visit in Japan through at the property. Staff: Always polite and helpful. David supported the guests trips to the local resorts and transport. All in all, if you have the opportunity to visit, I would encourage you to book your holiday and see for yourself.

Private open air onsen has great views over the valley. So far, best hotel I have ever been in Japan. I highly recommend here to anyone wishing to experience such a great Ryokan. Thank you everyone for making my stay so wonderful.
