Fujisoft Akiba Plaza is 400 metres away and Old Manseibashi Station is 400 metres from the hotel. Location was awesome. Room size was big enough for two people. We found that the room had a clever layout: separate shower/bathtub, toilet and sink. Akihabara station is a great starting point to explore Tokyo. Would definitely stay here again.

My single room was spotless, had a nice view and felt really spacious compared to other hotels I have stayed at in Tokyo. Additionally, the location was very convenient along the Yamanote line and the breakfast was delicious and varied. When picking up my luggage on my final day, I had a really nice chat with one of the staff members. Will definitely stay here again in the future!

I requested for my SIM card to be mailed to the hotel for pick-up and the entire process was seamless. I hope to stay again!

I absolutely loved my stay at the 1899 Hotel in Tokyo—this was my third time staying here, and it continues to impress me every visit. The service is exceptional, with the staff making sure you feel welcome and comfortable. The hotel itself is extremely modern, with a minimalist and aesthetically pleasing design that creates such a calming and sophisticated atmosphere. One of my favorite touches is the complimentary tea service during check-in. You can enjoy a delicious matcha accompanied by wagashi (Japanese sweets) to start your stay on the perfect note—it’s such a thoughtful and unique experience. During my stay, I also enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered decent options and added to the overall value of the stay. Another highlight was the green tea-scented amenities, including shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion. Not only did they smell amazing, but they’re also available for purchase at the hotel—a great way to bring a piece of the experience home with you. The location is also very convenient. While “central” in Tokyo is relative, it’s well connected by public transport, making it easy to get around the city. Overall, 1899 Hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Tokyo, blending modern design, thoughtful service, and little luxuries that make it stand out. Highly recommended—I’ll definitely be back again!

Guests will find a shared kitchen and living room on site. Private rooms come with a TV, and a Japanese-style garden is featured on site. This was our favorite accommodation during our trip to Japan! Location was really lovely, Nippori is a beautiful neighbourhood with cute cafes and restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, as well as common areas. We had dinner in the common kitchen a couple of times and it was lovely. Lastly, the staff was just the NICEST we have ever met! They went above and beyond to help us with absolutely everything! Even storing one bag while we were away from Tokyo for a few days since we were coming back to the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough!!
