Balcony had a beautiful view of the rice fields and was a great location to relax.

Entire enviroment of hotel was beautiful, quiet and relaxing. Super friendy and helpful staff. Owner is very open, friendly and chill man. He organized exciting full day safary. We even got to choose our lunch. Driver was excellent - shared his knowledge and tried to show us as much as possible. We would like to come there again. Thank you so much!

Honestly, the best place we stayed at. We were not even planning on staying in Yala but made a stop here. Best decision. The rooms were nicely air-conditioned, so comfortable and clean. The hosts are incredibly friendly and omg, the home-made food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. We actually felt at home. I would recommend staying here for sure. We got really lucky here.

Guests can relax on the terrace. This place is a magical place with a calm and quiet nature. Swimming in the early morning before breakfast is the best thing to do. If you love animals, there is a lovely dog and lots of peacocks flying around. Throughout our stay, Dinesh helped us make our stay wonderful. They even made us a special Sri Lankan breakfast during our stay. I'm definitely going to visit again. I even met a lovely family from Switzerland with two kids. This is definitely a wonderful place to spend your holiday. 🌿😍

He noted that I like Cassava chips and went out specially to buy them to pack in my 5am safari breakfast! I was touched by his kindness. We took a cooking course with Kesham who is a professional chef, he explained everything in detail, including the chemical reaction of certain spices and why salt is added last to some dishes. We learnt a lot and bought a coconut grater at the market so we could make some of the dishes at home. Thank you Kesham and all the staff at Tara! I would recommended Tara Watergate!
