Spotlessly clean room, beautiful location and view over rice fields, and absolutely delicious food. The host was unbelievably helpful, friendly, and welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The perfect home base for a Yala safari. I couldn’t recommend it more!

Offering a year-round outdoor pool and barbecue, The Coconut Gardens Hotel & Restaurant is located in Tissamaharama, 900 metres from Tissa Wewa. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Coconut Gardens is lovely. The rooms are very large and comfortable. They have a pool that is perfect for relaxing when you’re waiting for a game drive. The other great thing is the restaurant which has an extensive menu and cooked a beautiful dinner for the four of us at a very reasonable.

We were not even planning on staying in Yala but made a stop here. Best decision. The rooms were nicely air-conditioned, so comfortable and clean. The hosts are incredibly friendly and omg, the home-made food was the best we had in Sri Lanka. We actually felt at home. I would recommend staying here for sure. We got really lucky here.

Mamba Yala was one of the most spectacular and unforgettable stays of my trip. The location, right in the middle of the jungle, is absolutely breathtaking. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being surrounded by wildlife made the experience truly special. The accommodation itself was stunning: a beautiful treehouse-style cabana with a private pool, an open-air bathroom, and a panoramic terrace on top of the treehouse – perfect for relaxing, stargazing, or just enjoying the jungle views. The staff went above and beyond and even prepared a spectacular dinner for us at their own expense, making the stay truly memorable. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring everything was perfect throughout the stay. If you’re looking for a unique and peaceful escape in Yala, this is definitely the place to be. It's a fruit/chicken farm located on a lake shore. We stayed in detached cottage, and it was spacious and comfortable.

Located on the edge of a rice field and a 5-minute walk from the shores of Lake Yoda, Gaga Bees Yala features free WiFi in public areas. This Eco friendly resort offers an outdoor infinity pool. Everything was excellent about Gaga Bees! The rooms were exceptional, the pool was amazing and the food was great too! All of the staff were very kind and helpful, especially Gami who helped us to arrange a safari tour and went above and beyond to help make our trip an experience we won’t forget! Highly recommend staying here!

One of the best properties we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka! The pool area with views to the lake were beautiful, the room was spacious and super clean! Staff was nice and accommodating! Breakfast was great and they let us stay and enjoy the pool past check-out which was great!

Lovely hotel with everything you might need in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful design, comfy, clean and tidy, amazing views from the balcony (exceptionally serene atmosphere), air conditioning works well, spacious bathroom and shower. Pool is clean and inviting. Absolutely love that the hotel provides everything: food, water etc. Restaurant is good, food is delicious and portions are huge. Personnel was nice and friendly. We also booked safari with the hotel. It was awesome. The only thing we didn't like was how much more wore down our Jeep was compared to all the others. But the driver was very thorough with showing us all the animals and stunning views, so we were happy with our safari at the end. The included breakfast was tasty and plentiful as well.
