Biplan City has excellent location for business travel and the staff is really helpful. Rooms are large and nice - no elevator though but that's not a problem. Free parking in front and behind the house. Superb feature on Summer season is the tent in front of the house that serves as a summer terrace.

The 3-star hotel Latgale is located in the town of Rezekne, just 400 metres from the Culture and History Museum and 150 metres from The United for Latvia Monument. Free Wi-Fi is available. Rated from a backpackers point of view, it was excellent. I had a single room with a balcony. It was very clean with ironed linens. Comfortable and practical small, but big enough, room with a kettle and a private bathroom. And the most fabulous view from the balcony. Green areas as far as I could see, and a white church in front of it. Even better, you get a wonderful sunset from here as well. There is a fishing net on the balcony, but it doesn't block the view, and it's there to keep the pigeons away. The hotel is staffed 24h, so if you arrive early, you can store your luggage. I was lucky and even got my room early. That way I could catch the green synagogue which has very limited opening hours. Cold drinks for sale in the reception. Coffee machine in the lobby and good WiFi as well.
