Located a 5-minute walk from the centre of Dakhla, Dar Rio Oro offers a terrace with sea views and Moroccan lounges. Excursions and guided tours can be organized at the property. Everything was lovely at this property. Clean and comfortable room and delicious breakfast. The owner, Fatima, was extremely kind and helpful and I appreciate all her kindness during my stay. Looking forward to returning in the future.

If you are looking for the perfect mix between the most friendly staff (who will say hi with a smile everytime you see them and will pick you up from the airport in the middle of the night), good food (3 times a day), clean and well maintained facilities and an easy spot where you can (kite)surf; this is the place you want to stay at. The peace, quiet and feeling of relaxation. Combined with the great food, brilliant staff and the adventure of sitting on the edge of the Sahara enjoying the sun and relaxing. Great nights sleep for four nights, short walk to the next hotel if you want a beer (none on site). Free airport pick up and drop off was seamless, and all the food was included + the guys were happy to drop me off anywhere around the area to see the beaches or the sunset. Yes the electricity is only on at certain times, but it felt good for me to disconnect. And yes, it can be a little dusty but its in a desert and a famously windy part of that desert, I had no issues with the cleanliness

The price was good considering what you get. Nearby there were fancier hotels that had nicer rooms (aesthetically, I checked)… but in terms of practicality, this hotel was a better value.
