We loved the how attentive and thoughtful Fernando was. When we had to rise early for a tour, he rose early to have breakfast ready for us. The place is very close to a park (open Wednesday-Sunday). It’s a nice place to walk around, read a book, eat organic food from the cafe. It’s also not far from another park with a grotto of caves. We loved being close to nature and out of the main drag.

Boasting a garden and a terrace, Hotel Casa Azabache is set in San Cristóbal de Las Casas, 850 metres from San Cristobal Cathedral and 1.2 km from Central Plaza & Park. The room was nice and cosy. The mattress was confortable. The staff was lovely, they gave us access to an iron and keep our bags for a day after our check out.

This is a great hotel in a great location. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. Wifi and air conditioning worked well and we appreciated having ac in the hot month of May. It is very quiet at night, even though it's only a block or two to the restaurant area. Shower has hot water, towels are clean. We could store our luggage for a couple of hours before check-in which was very helpful.

Posada El Zaguan is a renovated Mexican-style hotel in San Cristóbal de Las Casas. It boasts mountain views, a shared dining room and free breakfast. Free Wi-Fi access is available. It was a beautiful historic hotel close to the square in San Christobal. The atmosphere in the hotel was so peaceful and the decore was lovely. It was a perfect location and the breakfast was delicious.
