A beautiful slice of heaven, The pool is a very nice way to cool down after a day of exploring, Can walk to the bioluminescence lagoon, Out of the main town so you avoid the noise, it is about a 15min into town but you have a beautiful beach to walk along to get to town, no complaints about that. Staff were so lovely. We’ll come back here next time!!

Fully recommend a stay for those who like to experience something different than a standard hotel.

Situated in Bacalar, Hotel Maria Maria has a garden and terrace. The property organizes tours for guests. The units in the hotel are equipped with a flat-screen TV. Everything about Maria Maria was lovely! Very quaint, and clean. Nice size room with comfortable beds. The hotel was located within walking distance of the lagoon, restaurants and main street shops and park. Geogina and the staff made our staff very pleasant. She and her staff were friendly and attentive. The included breakfast was delicious, and was a full breakfast, including fruit, omelette, avocado toast, served from a menu with several choices. I highly recommend this hotel, for a budget friendly, comfortable hotel. I will stay there on a return visit to Bacalar.
