The Dutch Maastricht, a full self-service hotel, is situated in a town house in the district of Wyck, which is known for its shops, bars and restaurants. Free WiFi is provided. Loved the whole experience of the coffee bar the breakfast in a bag outside your door .the self check-in but staff available if needed and especially loved how close it was to train station. It was clean comfortable. Loved the fridge in the hangout place with water and fruit available at all times.

Extremely comfortable, clean and cozy room. Adequate spread for a good European breakfast. Happy, helping and courteous English speaking staff - front desk, restaurant as well as house-keeping. Elegant decor (Christmas time). Extremely close/ 5mins walk to Valkenburg Railway Station.

Hotel and Swimclub Zenden is located within 3 monumental town house, near the Maas River. The interior was designed by Wiel Arets and nominated for best new interior design worldwide. This was a fun property in a great location of the city. We were within close walking distance of many of the tourist attractions, but not in the noisy heart of the tourist dining center. The area seems to be mostly occupied by locals, and the city here is busy at nights, but the hotel is on a quiet block, so central to everything but a great escape. The staff was happy to provide recommendations. It is across the street to a few high end restaurants including one Michelin Star restaurant (get reservations in advance). It is also close to many historic sights including the church and old city walls. As an added bonus, the hotel has a local athletic club, so during the day there were kids attending martial arts practice, I thought it was super cute and made the place feel more like a part of the community.
