Hotel De Walvisvaarder lies exactly in the centre of the beautiful Dutch island Terschelling. Perfect location for us. Very pleasant and helpful staff - most spoke very good English. Lovely food in the restaurant, great bar area and comfy longer sofas. Bike hire was a real bonus.

Its situated in market area and lots of local shops selling local items. The hotel itself has a good facade. The returant and lounge were great. The room was clean and spacious. We were very happy with the rpom - it was a two floor room with a small bed for kid on the upper floor, with a desk and chair. Lovely view especially from the upper floor. The staff were very helpful. In short the hotel offered what we needed for a perfect trip.

Oepkes is centrally located in Terschelling, in the village of West-Terschelling, a 4-minute walk from the harbor where guests can enjoy the incoming and outgoing ships. The staff was really lovely and the hotel is very accessible via public transport therefore I also liked the location. The room is small but enough for too and the breakfast was delicious. Staff is friendly and the complimentary drink was very nice.
