The staff was always pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts are tasty and varied. The hotel has an excellent restaurant. The surroundings are attractive for walks and boat rides. I highly recommend the hotel

Hotel Excelsior in the Statenkwartier district in The Hague is a century old townhouse with a spacious garden. It offers free Wi-Fi and traditional yet functional rooms with a TV. My room was probably one of the smallest available but as I was traveling alone it really didn’t bother me. The real bonus however was that I had a delightful little balcony, I think the only room with one. The breakfast was brilliant but far too much food for me to eat! I very much enjoyed my four night stay in the Excelsior and Ed the proprietor was very friendly and caring.
