The place is a bit remote and i arrived around 19:00 by uber after my helicopter flight to a platform that day got cancelled. The landlady offered to bring me to town to shop for dinner and breakfast and i was just in time to get some tins of beer (not sold in supermarkets after 20:00!), and some bread for breakfast. She also drove me to a good local Thai foodtruck where i ordered a great takeaway meal. The service and friendlyness of host Lillian was over and beyond! The house was magnificent, with view over a fjord where at that time the Heerema rig "Sleipnir" was anchored. There is a small boat dock at the house which the local people use to recover old lost crab cages and fishing nets from the bottom of the fjord. Sitting in the living room there is this glass wall looking over the beautiful fjord. There is a large kitchen with coffee machine, water boiler, microwave and normal oven and the sleeping rooms have their own bathroom. I was sharing the house with another stranded offshore worker but as his new flight was early in the morning i ended up having the living room to myself. A very nice unexpected stay, i had just searched for an affordable stay for the night waiting for my new flight from Stavanger heliport but i ended up in one of the nicest holiday resorts i could ever had imagined.

It was sople and small but we knew that . The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful and we just spent one night because we were on the road but an excellent choice for that situation.
