Clean and comfy. Owner very helpful. Nice man. Couple of little local shops for everyday needs close by. Would stay again now l know the area if in transit next time.

The weekend we stayed there was a movie on the beach. Playground is 15 minutes walk away. It was a comfortable room for me, my wife and two little boys. Friendly staff and they managed to fix the low battery fire alarm beeping very quickly. Highly recommend!

The nearest supermarket is just a 2-minute walk from the motel, while Bucklands Beach and several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. Auckland Airport and the city centre are both around a 30-minute drive away. Half Moon Bay Motel exceeded our expectations. The place was very large and comfortable and had a kitchen and fridge with a lovely out door seating facing the sea. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice divider between our sons bed and our bed with a large seating area. We loved how quiet it was with no road noise and there was a lovely view of the sailing harbour. Everything we needed was walking distance to walking boardwalk, cafes, grocery stores, restaurants and the sea! I even found a post office beside the cafes. A wonderful getaway for our family. We will definitely stay again.
