This motel met all of those! It's also a 5-minute walk to the main street where you can get a bus that'll get you to the metro station or to an Airport Link bus station. In addition, there's a Countdown grocery store around the corner and a variety of places to eat - although the majority will be Indian fare. Being vegetarian, that was perfect for us.

The nearest supermarket is just a 2-minute walk from the motel, while Bucklands Beach and several restaurants are within a 5-minute walk. Auckland Airport and the city centre are both around a 30-minute drive away. Half Moon Bay Motel exceeded our expectations. The place was very large and comfortable and had a kitchen and fridge with a lovely out door seating facing the sea. The beds were comfortable and there was a nice divider between our sons bed and our bed with a large seating area. We loved how quiet it was with no road noise and there was a lovely view of the sailing harbour. Everything we needed was walking distance to walking boardwalk, cafes, grocery stores, restaurants and the sea! I even found a post office beside the cafes. A wonderful getaway for our family. We will definitely stay again.
