Close to Oneroa, it had sea views, a lovely deck, a sleep-out for added privacy and even an extra small bed for the snorer. Everything was simple like a classic batch should be, but well-equipped. There is even a proper coffee machine! We would definitely recommend.

I also stayed for one night a week earlier. I asked for the same end room ’18’ which I thought was perfect. Clean with tv/wifi kitchenette and large bathroom. Could park outside the door - a unique electronic patio door mechanism. Quiet neighborhood on wide, quiet collector road. 10 minutes from the airport on the way out and close to the cross-city freeway (tried to stay out of Auckland traffic as much as possible).

Surrounded by picturesque gardens, Sun Valley Motel offers free WiFi in public areas. It is within 2 minutes’ walk of a range of shopping and dining options. The rooms are big and offer all you need for an overnight stay. The bed is big and everything is very clean. Yet there is a bit of a old smell from the carpet. The parking is right in front of your room, which is very handy. The self check in is supposed to work smoothly, but as we booked last moment we didn't get the code in time and had to wait for about half an hour in front to get a new code. They were nice and let us check out 30min later.
