Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Great location within beautiful grounds. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment. Excellent breakfast complete with homemade muesli and jam! Close to places we wanted to explore. Murray and Jan were extremely attentive and helpful in every way - we felt we were staying with friends.

Situated within 5 minutes' walk of local shops and dining options, the hotel offers an ideal base to explore the scenic and historic Bay of Islands. Location / view was a highlight!

Ala Moana Motel is located on the waterfront in central Paihia. Free WiFi access is available. Each room here will provide you with a TV with 50 satellite channels and a patio. Complete with a microwave, the dining area also has a refrigerator and an electric kettle. Featuring a shower, the private bathroom also comes with a hairdryer and free toiletries. Some rooms feature sea views. We got a very warm welcome from John the owner. He also gave us a lot of information about the area and many of the local sights to see. He showed us to our room, which turned out to be a spacious, clean and well equipped 1 bedroom unit. We were pleasantly surprised. He and his staff were friendly and accommodating at all times. The room was very comfortable and there were a large number of TV channels, which was good, as there was a day of heavy rain, which precluded any outdoor activities. Restaurants, shopping, the wharf and most activities were a 3 to 5 minute walk away. The beach was just across the road from the motel. Paihia is a lovely town and the motel was beyond our expectations.

Austria Motel Paihia is 4 minutes’ drive from the famous Waitangi Treaty Grounds, and 10 minutes’ drive from Haruru Falls. Kerikeri Airport is a 25-minute drive away. The space, had everything we needed it was perfect. What was 1 night turned into 3 (storm set in), we relaxed the entire time, the space was comfortable and warm. We loved the 50+ sky channels. Great get away for people who rarely watch movies. We booked the suite with two decks, that was a bonus. Eileen made you feel at home. Lastly, great location, 2 minute walk to town.
