We met the hosts, who were very friendly and enthusiastic.They even made dumplings for us to celebrate Chinese New Year. This makes us feel very warm. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. Great location within beautiful grounds. Very comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment. Excellent breakfast complete with homemade muesli and jam! Close to places we wanted to explore. Murray and Jan were extremely attentive and helpful in every way - we felt we were staying with friends.

Situated within 5 minutes' walk of local shops and dining options, the hotel offers an ideal base to explore the scenic and historic Bay of Islands. Location / view was a highlight!

Some rooms feature sea views. Why stay anywhere else? This is the PERFECT location and it has convenient parking. The host is magnificent. He was always available to chat and give recommendations. I so enjoyed staying here. It wasn't just a good place to stay it was part of my holiday. I really can't recommend this motel enough. If you are after a clean, conveniently located motel this is the place to be. There are other motels in the Bay of Islands that I saw as a I drove around but I don't know why you wouldn't want to be located directly in front of the beach with all the convenience that brings. This was a great find.

Waitangi Holiday Park provides an ideal base to explore Northland and the Bay of Islands. Situated on the banks of the Waitange River, it is close to Te Tii Bay and local beaches.

This holiday park is within walking distance to the Paihia village and a short ferry trip to Russell. There is a large supermarket 5 minutes' walk away. Within 10 minutes' walk is the Historic Waitangi Treaty Grounds where you can discover how New Zealand began in 1840. Cabin was spacious and well-equipped with a lovely location right near the water. So nice to sit with a cup of coffee in the morning and just relax. Shared facilities were great!—Kitchen has plenty of cooktops and sinks. Bathrooms were super clean and showers were nice and hot. Staff were very accommodating with storing bags before check-in and allowing a slightly later checkout. So friendly and helpful!

Austria Motel Paihia is 4 minutes’ drive from the famous Waitangi Treaty Grounds, and 10 minutes’ drive from Haruru Falls. Kerikeri Airport is a 25-minute drive away. A very nice place to stay in Paihia. Stayed 3 nights, we were very comfortable. Self-contained and close to the town. Highly recommended.
