Very welcoming and helpful hosts. Nice breakfast served at one big table so that one gets to talk to the other guests about travelling in NZ and what is going on around the world. Clean and nicely decorated room. On the outskirts of citycenter which we liked. It’s a 20-30 min walk to the citycenter but there’s many restaurants and take away oportunities a few minutes walk away.

The area is popular for skiing, and ski equipment hire is available at this 3-star holiday home. Outdoor play equipment is also available at the holiday home, while guests can also relax in the garden. Great location, lots of room, nice outlook, very clean. Staff were excellent.

Just 3 minutes’ drive from Lake Benmore, Ahuriri Motels features a barbecue area with outdoor seating and lovely mountain views. A flat-screen TV and a microwave are standard in all rooms. Guests receive 250MB of free WiFi, and free on site parking. Loved that the staff were quick thinking enough to leave our room keys in an envelope outside the office to allow us to check in late. This was really kind of them and I highly recommend Ahuriri solely based on this experience. The room itself was clean and perfect for one night's stay.
