Situated in the heart of Tongariro National Park, Skotel Alpine Resort offers a restaurant, a hot tub and a terrace bar with a fireplace. Most accommodations boast stunning mountain or region views. We stayed in a cabin and used the facilities for breakfast. The barista coffee at the lodge was very much appreciated. The restaurant and bar were perfect after long days of walking. Comfortable and welcoming and catered for everyone in our group.

Located in the Tongariro National Park, The Park Hotel Ruapehu offers affordable accommodation in a stunning alpine setting. Guests are provided with free parking and 500MB of free WiFi. We really loved the family rooms - they were warm despite the cold temperatures. The hot water systems (i.e. the showers) were excellent. Finding the hotel and accessing the car park was also very easy. The restaurant (the spiral) also served very high quality food. The cost of the rooms was outstanding value for money.

Situated in Halcombe, 2.3 km from RNZAF Base Ohakea, Bulls Motels & Holiday Park offers an outdoor swimming pool and rooms with free WiFi access. The location is truly beautiful. The rooms were very clean, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was nice and very helpful. Really liked this place.

Loved the windmill just across the street.
