The location is fantastic, close to everything and right across from the bay. The property is clearly cared for with love, from eco-friendly soap to updated furniture and quality kitchen utensils. The friendly and helpful owner made it perfect.

Situated only 4 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune, The Central Motel & Lodge features an outdoor hot tub. All studios and apartments include self-catering facilities and electric blankets. Apparently the rooms were renovated 5 years ago but they are still spotless. Real quality in the kitchen, wonderful comfortable bed and the first bathroom on our trip that didn’t have some sort of issue, in fact it was super. Great location, super friendly and helpful hosts , I doubt there’s much better comfort and value in Okakune .

We appreciated the electric blanket, the breakfast bar in our room and the little table right outside the room surrounded by lavender, it was the best setting for breakfast in the garden. The property also has a pool and a jacuzzi and it's close to the beach.
