The Well Hotel & Spa is an ecological hotel that offers a privileged view over the Atlantic Ocean and is located an hour's drive from Lisbon. Free WiFi access is available throughout the building. The entire experience was wonderful. I was there on low season, but it still felt wonderful. The room was huge, the sea view was wonderful, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was the best I have seen.

The 3-star Hotel Louro is a 5-minute walk from the medieval village of Óbidos. The traditionally-styled hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and is a 10-minute drive from Praia d'el Rey Country Club. The hotel is on the outskirts of the old walled city of Obidos. It is a short 8-10 minute walk to vist the restored castle and city walls which are worth a visit but lacking in any safety features such as hand rails - in fact any rails at all, The hotel was well equipped and it had a very nice en suite which was tidied along with the bed and the room every day. There was a seating area outside and the breakfast was a buffet style affair with the usual array of brad, pasteries, cakes cold meat cheese etc. The breakfast room was a little impersonal and rather dull in terms of decor but we did not spend much time in there. Obidos itself was totally over run with day trippers being bussed in all day long. We enjoyed visiting in the evening and seeing the streets and the historic sites with a lot fewer people around. We would suggest if you do go to Obidos DO NOT stay in the old city it is very crowded, very "fake", very tourist orientated (lots of cheap tat for sale).
