Clean and well maintained. Centrally located for easy sightseeing on foot.

Boasting views of the Atlantic Ocean, Florasol Residence Hotel is a 12-minute drive from Funchal city centre. It has a large outdoor pool and offers self-catering rooms and apartments. This is our forth time at this hotel, as always it has a great location with plenty of bars and cheap to high end restaurants. Located in the upper areas of the Lido. Close to local bus services and a nice 40 minute walk into the centre of Funchal old town. Excellent friendly, helpful and efficient staff in all areas. Good buffet breakfast. This time we were placed on the top 12th floor, had excellent views out to sea. With full view of the comings and goings of the Cruise ships.

The staff was super friendly. The room was clean and felt spacious with a wonderful balcony facing the sea (very close). The inside pool and sauna are great.

Apartamentos Turisticos Avenue Park is a self-catering accommodation located in Funchal, within 1 km from many shops and restaurants. Free WiFi access is available throughout. Very easy communication with Miguel, our host. We had an issue in our room, and immediately it was resolved. The staff, Desiree, was very kind and accommodating to our requests and needs. The location is superb. Near public transportation bus stop, and a lot of places in the old city, garden, and marina of Madeira is walkable. Supermarket and restaurants are very near. And if you’re renting a car, there is free parking at the basement of the hotel. Early reservation with Miguel should be done.

Quinta Santo Antonio Da Serra is situated in the Madeira countryside, only 18 km from Funchal. All of the self contained apartments have a real wood fireplace and a balcony. One of the best places we stayed in Madeira. Very cozy & clean. The best part is a fireplace , especially during winter. We spent all day just relaxing next to it, so plan a whole day stay, not just for overnight sleep. Also we used this place to go to Areeiro to catch sunrise.
