Located in Frösakull, 8 km from Halmstad, Halmstad Golfarena Hotell features a 9-hole golf course and other golfing options. Amazing apartments and the evening/morning view are amazing. We made sure that we got the west/south facing apartments to get the perfect sunset view. We played in the range and mini-golf. Both were at par or even better than usual, facility wise. The breakfast was amazing, has the standard continental options, and tastes really great.

Surrounded by an oak forest and open fields, Stakaberg Konferens & Gårdshotell is located in the beautiful landscape of Halland, only 9 km from Halmstad. The breakfast was great. Stakaberg is in the countryside, which we prefer during summertime. We loved the beautiful outdoor areas for breakfast.

Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. There was really nothing not to like. I did experience a little difficult checking in as it was late and dark, and signage leaves a little to be desired. I have to take partial blame though, as if I had read my emails properly I would have realised there was an app to download that helped matters. The cottages are unpretentious but very nice, the location is unbeatable if scenery is your preference, and I had the good fortune to visit in the off-season making my stay great value. I fully expect the prices to be dramatically different in the high season though.

Stunningly located on the edge of the forest, Tylebäck Hotell & Konferens is a modern hotel just 550 metres from Sweden´s most famous beach and 8 km from the centre of Halmstad. Very nice room, large balcony. Good breakfast selection.
