From Abisko Mountain Lodge you have several different trails you can do day hikes It’s definitely the best hotel in Abisko according to locals and personal experience. The twins room was very cozy and the bath was clean and warm. There is a helipad just right next to the hotel, you could meet the aurora there if you do not want to walk 15 mins to the lakeside (but not far, really). We also love the restaurant, we spent our dinner time there during our stays, staff was really helpful and cheerful.

The staff of the hotel I only have one word: Legendary. These people know what service is and I want to highlight specifically Mr Melvin. How he improvised when we needed some food, knowing our activity couldnt go through, that is what you need in hospitality. That man is your Mascotte, he knows how to treat people correctly and help them out when needed. Give the guy a raise!

The guest house also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. I didn't speak the language and the owners were ex helpful. Then helped me get a taxi and a train. They were wonderful people.
