Riviera is an adorable and graceful escape by the sea and mountain nestled in the heart of vibrant Fisherman Village. It’s a peaceful home away from home, which is so quiet and private but also so close to the heart of Fisherman Village ( just within a few walks ). I enjoyed every single day here, both with mountain and sea view. One of the most beautiful essences of Riviera is human contact and genuine connections between the guests and owners Henry - Karrine, manager Pitto, as well as the team. I'm even so welcomed and loved by their sweetest dog named Lili. I’m especially beyond grateful to Pitto - manager of the Riviera for EVERYTHING. Pitto has made my staying so welcomed, so safe, so comfortable, so private and also so home. Thanks Pitto so much for waiting for me to arrive late from the airport on the first night, for taking care of my staying, for driving me to the airport without any conditions, for offering me the room from mountain view to sea view to ensure that I could enjoy my staying to the fullest. It was so kind and generous of the owners Henry and Karrine, manager Pitto for this special offer, which was beyond my expectation. I felt so touched. A beautifully appointed land might be one of the reasons for me to decide to visit in the first place, but genuine, heartful hospitality is what makes me return, again and again. We were welcomed warmly, and every member of the staff was extremely helpful and genuinely cared about our stay. It truly made the whole experience unforgettable. The rooms were super clean, and the whole hotel area was very well maintained. The hotel’s restaurant, Pearl Lounge, was also excellent. In our opinion, all the drinks were the best on the island. The owner was fun and absolutely lovely. We will definately come back!

Situated in Ban Bang Po, a few steps from Bang Po Beach, White Whale Beachfront Pool Villa features accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. Built in 2020, this 3-star resort is within 11 km of Fisherman Village and 15 km of Big Buddha. The resort offers an American restaurant as well as free WiFi. All staff were outstanding particularly Pat and Ouiee (spelling is probably incorrect). Breakfast was nice (best caffe latte I found in Samui). The building is 3 years old and hardly used due to COVID. The room was beautiful, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The shower and toilet have glass doors so you will have no privacy from your partner. If this is an issue, this is not the place for you. The beach is just metres away from the room past the plunge pool. The building is next to the link road however there is not a huge amount of traffic and it is quite sound proof. I occasionally heard passing scooters but never at night. They have a canoe and stand up paddle board for use free of charge and also rent out scooters. The beach is nice however the water is not very deep. It is much deeper further east. I was told that the water is even shallower in March/April. It is not a particularly busy area compared to Chaweng or Lamai however there are several nice restaurants along the beach. So if you are after a quiet holiday and can afford the price, I highly recommend the White Whale.
