The actual conditions match even exceed my expectations! As more and more hotels turn into modern and sleek style, Cleftstone Inn surprises me with the warm, elegant and classic New England charm. From decoration, table setting, artworks, furniture, bedding, even soap and shampoo, I can tell how much attention and details the owner or manager has poured into. The services were exceptional too, Steffan and Marina greeted us with warmth during check in and check out. When we overslept and missed breakfast time in the morning, they arranged us with fresh OJ and a hearty breakfast with sausage, spinach and tomato frittata and fresh fruits. Thanks so much for providing such a charming, welcoming and comfortable place for us to stay after our exhausting trip from west coast to Boston, and the 5 hours drive to Acadia NP. If we have the chance to visit Arcadia again, will definitely return to Cleftstone!

Guest rooms at the Bar Harbor Motel feature cable TV and a small refrigerator. They have a coffee maker and ironing facilities. The staff make this motel exceptional - nothing was too much trouble and any issues were dealt with quickly and with care. All staff gave a cheery hello and reception staff remembered who we were. We loved walking from the motel into Acadia national park and also into Bar Harbor. A mechanical issue which affected our room was swiftly investigated and we were moved without fuss to an unaffected room. The renovated retro rooms are great but it’s not style over substance as the beds are comfortable and the rooms spacious with a microwave and mini fridge which we found really useful. We were hesitant in staying 4 nights at a motel but would come back in a flash - and we are fussy!
