I looked all over for hotels that didnit allow pets and most glad I came across this hotel. In addition, the rooms were up to date, clean and comfortable. The manager and staff were hospitable and accommodating. Also, there's a very good restaurant next door to the hotel which was pretty convenient. I would definitely book this hotel again when traveling back to Charleston, SC.

Built in 1778, this historic inn, decorated in a European-style, features uniquely decorated rooms. Free Wi-Fi is available. We had an excellent stay at Barksdale House Inn. Breakfasts were tasty and filling. The Inn was close to everything we wanted to see in Charleston. The staff were very friendly and we appreciated the opportunity to store our luggage after checkout as we weren’t leaving til late afternoon. We would stay at the Barksdale House Inn again.

The staff were all so friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I loved the lobby area and the personalized touch with the TV welcome. The bed was super comfy. I cant wait for my next visit.

Love the cloth/thread inspired art piece in the lobby, inspired by South Carolina’s past. The check-in process was a breeze - the guy at the counter was so nice, friendly and easy to talk to. Housekeeping was so helpful, I needed more towels, and hey presto, in 2 seconds, I got everything I needed. The decor in the room is mind-blowing - super chic, calm colors, and lots of sockets all over. The height of the bed was just right. Pillows were exquisite, and the bolsters were great to sleep & cuddle with. I could stay here for a month, ha! Looking forward to coming back! 😁
