Just 100 metres from the beach, Tamariz offers tastefully decorated rooms with free Wi-Fi. Glamorous Punta del Este City is 40 km away. Private parking is free. The staff was excellent and attended to any requests without any problems. The rooms are small but clean, the bed was a little on the hard side but ok. I would certainly recommend it.

I stayed in a private room with bathroom in January 2025. The location is perfect for a stay in Pu ta Del Este. It is 2 blocks from the beach and there are cafes, restaurants and tiendas very nearby. The room is spacious, very clean and quiet. People can be heard in the stairwell going in and out but that’s to be expected. The bathroom was good also. Hot strong shower. There’s a very slight smell once in a while. The smoke detector in the ceiling has a light the flashes intermittently and can be annoying at night when sleeping. Other than that the stay was perfect. Clean open area seating in the large kitchen and by the pool area. The kitchen is very clean and very well organized. The staff does a great job and they speak English, which is not a must but it is welcomed.

A nice option for a short, beach-focused stay.
