Staying here on Skye was one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. The view was to die for, we never even considered turning on the TV. We spent the evenings watching the sunsets over the water and mountains. I can't wait to return. Now the specifics.... the home is indeed small, but nicely laid out. The bedroom is up a set of stairs and the firm bed is low to the floor. There are large boxes under the bed for storing clothing, which worked well. We put our luggage in the car. There are a few un-carpeted stairs which can be slippery in stocking feet and no handrail so descend cautiously - we didn't have a problem. The bathroom is interesting with the toilet/sink one one side of the hall and the shower on the other, good use of space. The kitchen in small, but well equipped for cooking. Frazer and Emma even left a wee dram (thank you)! The location is a bit out of the way, about 1/2 hour south of Broadford where you will need to stock up on groceries. The drive is on narrow roads with plenty of sheep to make it interesting. We will definitely stay here again!

Located in the village of Abriachan, just 12 miles from Inverness, Camping Pod Heaven offers camping accommodation with a unique twist. On-site, there is free WiFi access and free parking. Guests can go on boat trips on the famous Loch Ness, just a short 5-minute drive away. With a distinctive shape, each of the camping pods feature a mountain view from the room, heating and a private entrance. They also benefit from a shared bathroom. The special roofing material cuts down the noise of heavy rain, whilst the windows and lockable door have double glazing to reduce condensation and provide sound insulation. Urquhart Castle is 11 miles from the property. Eden Court Theatre and Inverness Castle are both just 25 minutes' drive away. The famed Culloden Battlefield is 18 miles away. Gives a camping experience with full comfort. We really enjoyed the views, quick access to lochness, and lower price. The bathrooms were very clean and surprisingly nice for the type of venue it is. It’s a Great value!
