From the price point, I was expecting hotel room to be very cramped. However…. Room was spacious enough for me to open up my large luggage. The bathtub was long enough to straighten my legs fully.

Toyoko Inn Shin takaoka eki Shinkansen Minami guchi is set in Takaoka, 48 km from Kanazawa Castle and 48 km from Kenrokuen Garden. This 3-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available and private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. The location is very convenient and located right next to Shin Takaoka station. I was planning to visit the World Heritage Villages (Shirakawago, Ainokura and Suganuma ) and having the bus stop right next to the hotel was very convenient to plan a day trip. I haven’t tried the hotel dining services but there’re plenty of options in the nearby AEON mall which is a few minutes walk from the property. The rooms were spotless and tidy and I did not find any issue with any of their facilities. The hotel staff were very kind and friendly to accommodate my requests and I sincerely appreciate their kindness and professionalism. If I have to come back again to this region, I would definitively stay at this place.
