This villa is amazing! It’s next door to a few historic houses that have turned into musea. Actually this villa used to be a museum too but the owners decided to turn it into a place where you don’t only visit a historic house but you also get a chance to truly experience it! The rooms are big, bright and clean. Some of the furniture are from the 1800’s , it was very special to see it. There are old family photos on the wall too so the whole building has a rich history! It is also said that the prince of the Albanian kingdom in the 1800’s used to stay here. The location is perfect, it’s a 3 minute walk to the bazar in the old center and the villa is located on the middle of the hill. So not uphill or downhill but right in the middle! There is a garden full of turtles next door and the owner made amazing breakfast for us with products from her own organic garden. It was a truly special experience.

A wonderful host! Our host brought in some delicious baking for us to enjoy :) A very cosy house, good beds and plenty of blankets for colder weather. Great location - half way between the bus station and the old town. You are downhill from the old town - which means an easy downhill walk home after exploring.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional, always making sure I felt comfortable. The room was very clean, spacious, and well-equipped, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect, close to the main attractions but still quiet and peaceful. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again!

Spacious penthouse with large terrace with view to the citadel, overall tastefully decorated and well equipped. Friendly owners, Vasillaq made sure we know everything there is to know about the property, surrounding area and checked multiple times if everything is in order with our stay. Parking outside of the villa, enough space for multiple cars, security cameras. Interesting sweet breakfast, egg, cheese, butter, bread, homemade jams, water melon, some juice and water. The homemade jams were quite nice to try. There was on the balcon an outdoor kitchenette with free filter coffee and tea. Indoor mini fridge filled with water of bottles, on the house. You should try some greek beer, it is a decent lager for 1 euro a 0.33l can.

A very quiet, spacious, clean apartment with good facilities in a fantastic location with an amazing host who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and at home. Very close to Gjirokastër and a short drive to the supermarket, lots of hiking and sights in the local area. Not forgetting the friendly cat of course. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. Superb host who was most gracious. Fantastic Albanian breakfast, that gave us a great start to the day. Great balcony with mountain view that was enjoyed whilst relaxing, also far enough away from the inner city.Easy walk to explore the sites especially the castle/fortress and the bazaar/old town. Girokaster ihas plenty to offer.
