We saw aurora from the cottage. The cottage is close to K-supermarket, which has variety of food and other necessary stuff including souvenir. The cottage has a private sauna, and we enjoyed it.

Absolutely loved our stay at Hillhouse! This house is incredibly comfortable, with every detail thoughtfully taken care of. The host was fantastic and attended to any request promptly. One of the highlights was being able to see the aurora right outside the house—an unforgettable experience! The house is wonderfully warm, and all the necessary amenities are provided, making it feel just like home. Everything was spotless and cozy. Highly recommend it for a perfect getaway!

The house was perfect! Every detail had been considered. When we arrived, it was spotless, and everything was explained thoroughly. The house was delightful, with both an indoor and outdoor sauna. The view of the lake was stunning, and we even witnessed the Northern Lights! Highly recommend booking this cottage!

A very well equipped cosy house, with everything you need for a perfect holiday. The surroundings are enchanting, (especially during ruska season) with a wonderful view of the lake. The outside sauna is a real Finnish experience. Fantastic to watch the starry sky or the aurora borealis from the hot tub in the evenings. Perfect place for a retreat. I will definitely come back! The hosts are very kind and helpful.

The house really was a home and had so many homey amenities. We loved the sauna and the views of the river. It was quite and felt secluded but only about a km from town. As it was -5 to -14 we had a hire car and if you want to do some of the activities highly recommend a hire car
