Great location. Near enough to walk into Matlock. Cottage was very homely, well maintained and extremely well equipped to make your stay more enjoyable. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of useful information provided to help with your stay. Great pub nearby for food. Perfect for our short stay.

Everything was perfectly maintained, the bed was comfortable and the blockout curtains were fabulous. The location is excellent and the off street parking very safe. Whisper quiet even though it is in town. We enjoyed pizza from d’alessandro and the pub next door to the pizza restaurant had lovely gin. We would definitely book this beautiful place again.

It was lovely and clean. Had absolutely everything you needed for 1 night or 1 week! It’s lovely and spacious, beds super super Comfy! Everything you need is right on the door steps. To explore places it was only a 30/40 min drive minimum to where you wanted to be.

Perfect holiday home, very cosy and has everything you need. Super clean. The beds were comfortable and we slept great. Loved the garden for my dog. Very close to local town and shops, we enjoyed exploring the local area and further afield in the beautiful Peak District. Host was super friendly with good communication. There’s a busy road outside but it’s not loud at night, ear plugs were provided in case of disturbances but we didn’t need these, the host thought of it all. We really enjoyed our stay and will be booking again!

Very clean, warm and well laid out house. Kitchen was well equipped and everything fully functional, and great attention to small details, like nice clean blankets for when it got cold and everything was easy to clean. Great location for hiking around Matlock. Lovely and quiet surroundings but not isolated. Note, its quite a steep climb up from Matlock center but we enjoyed it. Also it was very dog friendly and easy.

Absolutely charming cottage and perfect base for exploring the area! Excellent starting point for numerous walks and hikes in the beautiful Peak District. The cottage itself is very clean, cozy, and fully equipped with everything you need. The village of Winster is picturesque and peaceful. Laura, the owner, is very helpful and responsive.     Lovely cottage in a small friendly village with two good pubs within walking distance and very short drive to Matlock. The location was ideal for us visiting family in the area. The cottage was spotlessly clean and comfortable with exceptionally comfortable beds and a superb shower. Would highly recommend and would definitely return. Thank you for making us so welcome.

    It was absolutely perfect, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, beautiful bedrooms and bathroom, fabulous shower, white fluffy towels, the kitchen had absolutely everything you needed to cook a family meal which we did every evening. Thoughtful gifts in- keeping with the Alice in Wonderland theme, which was a lovely touch. We had amazing views, adorable village and all the locals were lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend it

    A very cute terrace, typical of this region of England. The owners kindly supplied milk, tea and good quality coffee pods! The bath in the attic bedroom added a touch of luxury. The family bathroom was modernised and very clean. There was a great view from the Lookout (we saw it from outside but the key was available to guests).
