We stayed here 19 years ago, and decided to return. Everything was exactly the same as previous. The accommodation is extremely well kept and maintained to a high standard. It's slightly smaller than "The Pend" next door but the kitchen in The Precinct House" is stunning with a large Electric Aga which I've loved cooking on. Shower room/Toilet is very neat and tidy. And upstairs both bedrooms are beautifully decorated. We will go back a little bit sooner next time.

We were 4 bikers on a weekend trip. Upon arrival we’re given a lovely warm welcome. Showed to our chalet which was spotless clean. Proximity to the main was fab just a short walk or stagger back. Will definitely be back. Thank you

Had an amazing break away for 4 nights. Location was perfect so peaceful and tranquil just what we were needing at the moment . Wood fired hot tub for use aswell with logs and kindling available aswell. Hot tub was amazing and hosts also emptied and refilled for us with fresh water when we were away out . Hosts were lovely friendly and very helpful. First time we ever done glamping as such and we really enjoyed it . Our frenchie Fury also had a great time there aswell making friends with sheep and donkey . Animals around to see aswell as on farm little piglets born just a week ago some extras we weren’t expecting also there’s a games room diwn the road 2 mins we never knew about this until we read comments on guest book so glad we went down pool table darts board air hockey and football to play board games . We loved our stay here and will definitely be back sometime.great prices aswell well worth the money and is also private aswell with enclosed fence and gates . Thanks for our amazing stay xx

    Amazing location - heart of the Galloway Forest. The cabin offered a well-equipped wooden home - had everything you need, small cooking area and fully furnished. Loved the bathroom! Roll top bath and spacious luxury. Peaceful setting - and oh my! The night sky views were wonderful! Loved using the fire pit to cook dinner on. Jeannot and Frazer were wonderful hosts who could do no more for us. Utterly wow!

    Great location with village hub, visitor centre nearby and lots of walks right from the doorstep. Enjoyed the Friendship path and all the effort that must have gone into it. The hosts had made a monumental effort with suggestions for walks, maps information etc.

    Host is very friendly and accommodating. We had to check on a bit earlier and the host let us in. It’s a real tardis with probably the best shower we have ever experienced. It looks a little tired from the outside but it’s perfect on the inside, so compact and everything you need. Great secure area to let the dog out into. It’s a beautiful location on the outskirts of village and easy to walk dog up and down the lane and nearby.

    The house was so cosy and modern. It had everything we needed for a lovely weekend away. Great parking and so close to the village centre whilst still being very quiet and peaceful.
