Where do I start? we had a week in Crete and stayed in 6 different places including Rethymno, Heraklion, Agia Pelagia and Chania. This residence was our last night in Crete as we were flying from Chania back home. Everything was perfect for us. The hosts were super accommodating and allowed us to check in much earlier. The whole place was spotless, super clean and as we were the 3rd guests everything was very new and pristine. The hosts provided luxury bedding, towels and every toiletry you can think of, including toothbrushes and toothpaste. The shampoo and conditioner provided left my curly thick hair feeling so soft and smooth that I will be buying it myself!! the facilities in the kitchen left me feeling inadequate for my own kitchen back home! Everything and more is provided. The marble detailing in the bathrooms are stunning, the beds are comfortable and there are plenty of sofa options to sit on. However the best thing about this place is location. Slap bang in the middle of the old town chania harbour. The views are to die for. There are many vantage points. one smaller balcony at the front overlooking the harbour and old town, where you can sit to drink your morning coffee. Then there is another terrace at the back overlooking the old town hustle and bustle. Then there is a huge rooftop terrace with outdoor kitchen, tables, chairs and a gorgeous hanging egg chair. The views you get across the harbour to the lighthouse are literally post card perfect. Stunning. to top it off we saw the giant turtle in the harbour on our last night which was magical! Thank you for a wonderful stay. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Maria, the owner, is incredibly kind: she welcomed us warmly, offered us delicious local dishes, fresh eggs from her own hens, and thanks to the lemon tree right next to the accommodation, I was able to make refreshing homemade lemonades every two days. The accommodation is perfectly equipped and spotlessly clean: a large, impeccably maintained swimming pool, jacuzzi available upon request (Maria always replies quickly via WhatsApp), a fully equipped kitchen, efficient fridge, pristine bathroom, washing machine with a few detergent pods provided, toothpaste kit, soap, toilet paper… Everything is thoughtfully arranged for the guests’ comfort. The bed in the master bedroom is incredibly comfortable, and the sofa bed in the living room allowed my daughters to sleep wonderfully. Wifi perfect! The place is absolutely peaceful: located in a cul-de-sac, you can sleep undisturbed. The photos match reality perfectly – in fact, it’s even better in person. We are leaving with regret, as we felt so good here. We will definitely be back, even just for a weekend if we’re in Chania again, if only to greet Maria. She truly deserves far more than 10 stars!

The location is perfect . X4 different beach coves all within east walking distance . We preferred the iguana beach , calm sea and great for snorkelling. The villa is great with on sweet bathrooms and comfy beds all modern . Living space is large with open plan kitchen Pool area has sun light all day and also has a large table in shade which is great .

    We were a group of 4 families with small children and booked the larger Villa with 4 bedrooms. It was great because each family got their own room. Each bedroom also had ensuite bathroom which was absolutely amazing! We loved the pool, kids especially! The Villas complex is very neat, clean, well-looked after. Very close to the beach! 10 min walking!

    Amazing location and incredible host. The villa was sheer luxury, very comfortable with everything one could possibly need. The host came to visit us on a few occasions to make sure our needs were met. Cleanliness was outstanding and every room was perfect for us. Unanimously we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will be back. Highly recommended.

    Villa Sissy is one of the best appointed villas we have ever stayed in. The decor is fantastic, the location is right beside the main restaurants and shops without being overlooked or noisy and the host is amazing! We have stayed in a lot of villas throughout Crete and Villa Sissy is by FAR the best of them all. If you are fortunate enough to find availability, you should book immediately.
